S. PAROTT Chancellor & upon the bill original & amended answers exhibits and proffs filed in this cause… that on the 29th day of November 1852 Benjamin CURTIS purchased of Anderson H. BROOKS a certain tract or parcel of land situate in Carroll County containing by estimation three hundred acres…that said Benjamin CURTIS departed this life in Carroll County intestate…that Stephen EASON was appointed Administrator…that on the 29th day of August 1856 that Anderson BROOKS recovered in the circuit court…$550.00 & $22.00 damages…BROOKS had recovered another judgment…for the sum of $250.00 & interest & costs…and that Benjamin CURTIS had left the following…as his only heirs…daugher Alsy who intermarried with John SMITH, son Joel CURTIS residents of Carroll County, daughter Nancy Elizabeth who has intermarried with William SHUFFLE & Malinda PARISH who…died leaving two children…Christiana & James M. PARISH residents of Mcnary County, Tenn and are minors…that Elizabeth and her children William…of Mcnary County…and Arabella-Solon-an-Franklin CURTIS minors…residents of Carroll county…and that William F. VINCENT is a grandson of the said CURTIS and a son of the said Elizabeth who had died before the filing of the original Bill and that William F. VINCENT has a half brother by the name of Benjamin F.
