Witnesseth, that the sd Johnson for & in consideration of Three hundred dollars to him in hand paid by the sd Jones the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged, hath sold unto the sd Jones one hundred acres of land lying in sd county it being part of a two hundred acre tract o land granted to sd Johnson No. Of grant 3375 beginning on the South East corner of sd grant south and near to the Trenton road Thence North 127 poles to the north Est corner of sd grant thence West 106 poles to a stake the South East corner of Wards Occupant thence North 115 poles to a stake thence west 18 3/4 to a stake dogwood & maple pointers thence south 146 poles to a red oak sapling thence Est to the beginning & the sd Johnson doth hereby bind himself and his heirs to the sd Jones & his heirs to warrant and forever defend the title of the sd land to them & their heirs against the claim or claims of all & every person or persons whatsoever in testimony whereof I hereby set my name and affix my seal the day and date first above written. Allen Clerk of the county court of said County Tilman Johnson with whom I am personally acquainted and who acknowledged that he signed the within deed for the purposes Therein set forth and on the day it bears date Witness my hand at office this 5th day of March 1849.
